One of the best syncing services out there. To summarize, it's like Google Drive, but it lets you sync any folder you'd like on your computer. Google Drive only lets you sync one folder. And it's usefulness is faaaar better than Blackblaze. The ability to organize folders, create online links for files to share is quite wonderful. Why am I giving it four starts though? SugarSync is a bit pricier than it's competitors. 100 GB for $7.49 a month. Though I'm willing to pay extra for all the neat features this service has. Also the sync button does not work for me on my Samsung S8. Not sure if I'm doing somwthing wrong. But it's a bit of a pain. Still, I very much reccomend this service.
I have been using this software for 9 years and migrated to their business platform once it was offered. Until recently, the software has performed well; however, when they were bought by J2 a high level decision was made to prevent tech support from removing orphaned files. This renders the software useless and it appears the management of the company is tanking it just as quickly as they bought it. I am actively transitioning to another solution.
I had great hope for this as the cloud storage tool of choice. BUT no feedback on the road map, particularly plans for Block level sync and LAN sync after 5 years of use has put me off: the value proposal is just not there any more. Customer service is poor. *** To top it all, I have been extremely disappointed in how difficult they make it to end your subscription if you are not in the USA: I have NO time for unethical business practice ***
Used to be THE best cloud storage provider with THE best interface to manage all your files. Not even the shadow of that these days. The files are not properly synced, it is becoming unreliable, the apps upgrade have lost in functionality. You cannot unsync a folder or choose a new location. There is minimal support of you lose a device and want to erase data, they do not respond to email anymore. Etc. I am about to end my subscription...
Once you start paying, it will be difficult to get out. Interface is not user-friendly. Horrible customer service, almost non-existent unless it is for sales purposes.
From time to time these guys tend to break stuff but at least the don't break the same thing twice which is good. I've been using tjis for a few years now and I agree it's one of the best.
