Shiftmein is the worker companion app for the Shiftmein shift-management platform. If your employer uses Shiftmein, this app gives you everything you need to know about your schedule, your hours, and your time off — right on your phone.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• See today's shift the moment you open the app — start time, end time, location, who you're working with, and any note your manager added.
• See the next two weeks of shifts at a glance, with the same color codes your manager uses on the schedule board.
• Clock in and out with a one-tap QR check-in. The QR code refreshes every 20 seconds for security and the app handles the rest. No fumbling with RFID cards or paper sheets.
• View your real worked hours for the day, week, and month — the same numbers your payroll is calculated from. No more guessing.
• Request leave with a date picker and a note. Track approval status without nagging your manager.
• Receive shift reminders 30 minutes before you start, an alert at start time if you haven't clocked in, and updates when your schedule changes.
• See coworkers who are on the same shift as you, with names, photos, and roles — handy for first-day orientation or covering for a teammate.
DESIGNED FOR HOURLY WORKERS
Shiftmein is built for hospitality, retail, healthcare, and any industry where shifts and time tracking matter. The app keeps the worker in mind:
• Clean, fast UI — no business jargon, no useless dashboards.
• Works fully in English and Macedonian, including dates, times, and notification text.
• Offline-aware — opens instantly with your last known schedule even on a flaky connection, then refreshes when network is back.
• Dark mode supported.
• Battery-friendly — no background location tracking, no always-on services. The app uses push notifications for reminders.
PRIVACY & SECURITY
Shiftmein only collects what your employer needs for time-and-attendance: your name, your shifts, your clock-in/out events, and your device's push-notification ID. We don't track your location in the background. We don't share your data with advertisers — there are no ads. Push notifications go through Firebase Cloud Messaging. SMS goes through your employer's configured SMS gateway. All API traffic uses HTTPS.
You can delete your account by asking your employer's admin to remove you from their tenant. Once removed, your personal data is purged within 30 days.
REQUIREMENTS
• You need a Shiftmein account from your employer. The app does not work standalone — it's a companion to the Shiftmein platform that your employer uses internally.
• Android 6.0 (API 23) or newer.
• Internet connection (the app is offline-tolerant but needs network to refresh schedules and post clock-ins).
SUPPORT
If something doesn't work, tell your employer's Shiftmein admin first — they can usually fix it (e.g. wrong shift assigned, leave request stuck). For app bugs, the admin can email support@shiftmein.com on your behalf.
Shiftmein worker app is provided free to employees of companies using Shiftmein.
