Okay so the app needs a serious UI/UX overhaul. 1. First and foremost you need to add a bit of a call to action as to what are the things I need to do. 2. I did a SIM porting from MTN to Melon and then I also had to do a transfer from an e-SIM to another e-SIM just to activate my Melon line. The app was not at all clear: did I need to click a button to activate SIM? What are the steps I needed to do? The mobile app needs to be clear on that.

Entirely useless outside of SA. After going through the remote RICA process and downloading the esim, then waiting four hours for it to register it turns out you cannot get the sim working unless youre physically in South Africa. Waste of time, don't bother with it.

I am currently on a 30-day "Unlimited" trial. After 10 days, Melon Mobile hard-capped my service. When I requested a voice usage report, it confirmed I had used exactly 963 minutes. Despite being under 1,000 minutes and having 20 days left on my trial, my service was severed. To "resolve" this, they reloaded a measly 200 minutes. For a 20-day remaining period, this equals 10 minutes per day. No reasonable consumer or regulatory body in South Africa would define 10 minutes a day as "Unlimited."
