I have used the app for a few years, and it seems as though it is declining. The scans would refresh after a few days, allowing you to make several trips a week to the stores to scan. Now, it may take several weeks for new products to appear or for the existing products to refresh. Also, the kicks reward for each item is not as rewarding as it used to be. Hope changes are made to make it great again since there are other options out there to use.

There are constant scanning issues and technical issues. I lost out on 250 points today because of "technical issues." And that doesn't include the points I lost on scanning issues. Then, there are the "product not recognized" errors when the product scanned is absolutely correct. It use to be fun and proactive. Now, I spend three times the amount of time trying to scan with no results. Not sure what has happened but it certainly doesn't appear to be getting the attention of Shopkick.

Good way to earn points towards gift cards. Scanning the items can problematic sometimes though. Because of theft, so many items are in locked cases anymore. Every time I go into CVS, it seems like more items are locked up. You can't page a staff member to unlock the case just so you can scan the item to get kicks. It's good for the items that are out on the shelf.
