I cannot speak to how well the ID feature works, but what I can say is that this app is an EXCELLENT tool for learning about mushrooms, if you can afford a pro subscription. The app is clearly cared about. When I gave feedback, they went out of the way to improve my experience, and fixed my only complaints day-of. Incredible responsiveness and service. Unfortunately, probably as a result of being very small team with large upkeep cost, the pro price is a bit too steep for me to justify buying.

Excellent source of information, easy to navigate app, and excellent customer service!! Pausing subscription for seasons is an option. I thought I paused mine with the option to resume when I wanted to use it again and reached out after I was charged for the month. I quickly received a response and full refund no questions asked. Will use again.

I'm giving 4 stars based on service (I had an issue and the developer he contacted me quickly to resolve it) and usability. I'm very beginner. My hubby and I live in Costa Rica and are curious about the mushrooms that grow around us. The take a picture feature is useful. The game feature helps expand knowledge. I was not ready for a subscription and wish there were different trial options but overall good app.
