Build a custom soundboard for game nights, classroom activities and small shows with Cue Pad. Arrange your sounds on boards, prepare an ordered cue list with notes, and use NEXT to move through the moment. Pads light up while they play, so you can see what is sounding. Boards and cue lists work offline, and your audio is stored in the app.
▶ YOUR SOUNDS FIRST
• Record with the microphone or import an audio file. A timer shows the elapsed recording time.
• Your recordings and imports appear first in Library and in the pad sound list, ahead of the starter effects.
• After saving a sound, tap Use on a pad, choose a board and set up the new pad.
• Start with 60 bundled effects in 12 sound types, including buzzer, ding, drumroll, applause, horn and rimshot. Each type is a group you can open or close.
• Search Library by name, see each sound's length and play it before using it.
▶ PLAY AND SHAPE EACH PAD
• A playing pad lights up in its color, and a looping pad shows Loop on until you stop it. Pads also respond visibly when pressed.
• Choose One-shot, Hold to play or Toggle loop. Release a hold pad to stop it with its fade-out; tap a looping pad again to stop it.
• Retrigger restarts a pad; Overlap lets repeated triggers play together. Pads in the same Choke group stop each other.
• Set volume and fade-out with sliders, and enter trim start and end in seconds for One-shot and Hold to play pads. Tap Preview sound to hear your settings before saving.
• Name pads, choose colors and symbols, and switch between 3-column and 4-column grids.
▶ RUN YOUR CUE LIST
• Give each cue a note. The runner shows Current cue and Up next above a large NEXT button.
• Reorder cues while preparing. NEXT stops the previous cue and starts the next; Previous restarts the earlier cue.
• Set a delay in seconds and auto-advance after a One-shot sound ends naturally. Hold to play and Toggle loop cues advance manually.
• PANIC STOP stops sounds and cancels pending cue advances.
• The pad, cue list and board editors ask before discarding unsaved changes.
▶ GOOD TO KNOW
• Up to 8 voices can play together, including loading and fading voices. Starting another stops the oldest voice.
• Toggle loop plays the whole file. Trim applies to One-shot and Hold to play pads.
• Playback stops when the app leaves the foreground. Keep the app open while running cues.
• Microphone access is requested when you continue into recording. Imported files are copied into app storage. Playable file types depend on the device's audio support.
• A backup is created in the app as a manifest plus parts, with your board and cue data and your imported and recorded audio. Share each part to keep a copy elsewhere; older backup sets in the app may be cleared on a later launch. Restore parts to merge them with your saved data; sounds still missing audio are named.
