About this app

SimpleMapper is the field survey tool for teams mapping without a network connection: mangroves, land, mines. You collect data on your phone, then export a QGIS-ready file.

ONE MISSION PER SITE
Create a mission for your site and choose its domain: mangroves, land, or mines. Everything you record is stored there. You can rename, archive, or delete a mission.

SURVEY IN THE FIELD, WITHOUT A NETWORK CONNECTION
• Markers: GPS position is automatically captured. Add a name, notes, photos, and free text fields.

• Shapes: Draw a plot (polygon) or a line. The outline is checked before saving.

• Tracks: Record your movement point by point.

• GPS accuracy is constantly displayed, with an alert when it is low.

• OpenStreetMap base map, light or dark. Areas you have viewed with a network connection remain visible without a network connection. • Import reference layers (shapefiles in .zip format) for field reference.

PROCESSES BY AREA
• Mangroves: Set up monitoring plots and add observations with each visit (species count, survival rate, density). Each visit is added to the history; no previous visit overwrites the previous one.

• Land: Support for preparing, orienting, and collecting data before processing in QGIS.

• Mines: Sites, structures, perimeters, and inspections, with photos and location.

EXPORT TO QGIS
A single .zip file:

• A GeoPackage containing all layers and tables, with correct accents;

• Your photos (optional);

• A README file explaining the content.

Optional: Shapefiles for tools that cannot read the GeoPackage, and .csv spreadsheets for Excel. Share the folder via WhatsApp, email, or messaging app, or save it to your phone.

YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
No account creation required, no ads. The app works offline; a connection is only needed to view new map areas.

FRENCH AND ENGLISH
The language follows your phone's language and can be changed in the settings.
