The SimpliSafe Home Security app lets you control your SimpliSafe security system from anywhere in the world.

Arm and disarm the system, set instant notifications and keep track of everything in an up to the minute timeline. You can even watch and capture live video if you have a SimpliSafe camera.

We like the app well enough. It is easy to find most of what you need. One BIG improvement would be to show battery levels. One minute, your battery shows full. The next minute, you're getting an alert that it is low. I'd rather change them out earlier than needed to stop the alerts in the middle of the night and for the safety of having all my devices working throughout the night, when I'm away, etc.

They make it so easy to sign up online and "upgrade" your service. Then they continue to raise prices year after year. The only way to cancel or downgrade your plan is to call their phone, wait for 10+ minutes, and deal with customer support doing everything they can to make it so you stay at your current plan. If there's a security service that offers online cancelation and plan changing, use that instead.

The app constantly will not show up regardless of the network strength. The system is basically worthless since you cannot check your system while you're away and the app will not load. It will say system issues but your wifi is working fine. You cannot fix this unless you are within 3 feet away from the base unit. This isn't helpful while you aren't home. Probably canceling the service this week after this happening far too often. Used to be such a good system...
