A Personal Note from the Founder

My name is Chris Klotz, and I created SinglesAroundMe for people like you.

I met my wife by chance while skiing with the University of Cambridge ski team in the French Alps. That experience taught me how powerful serendipity can be—and how unexpected encounters can lead to great happiness, love, and even lifelong partnerships.

Dating always involves a bit of luck. My hope is that SinglesAroundMe helps create those moments of chance by connecting you with like-minded singles who are genuinely nearby.

So barely started to use, so far , like the options of features and the layout of the UI dashboard and etc. It does have potential, but when I go into the "around me" , it does not load the map fully so I cant see whose around me or not. Just a greyish background , but everything else loads on the screen. So I can't fully explore and and see how the "around me" part works, but if you go to the " faces" tab , then you'll see a list. Which it's not bad, Simple, easy to navigate. To continue.

Had it less than 24 hours and it won't stop bugging me to rate it. Kept it a couple of weeks. Delete Every single person I spoke with on this app was a verifiably fake profile. Many thought they were sneaky by being able to show the profile was in a particular place but then later noticing they were actually in Africa. One person even started to talk to me using their native language. It never did stop bugging me to rate it. Even after I had. The ones that seem real the app required membership.

I had revise my review, I've never seen so many fake users on any app in my life. If you check someone's last location it will show one place, check it the next day, it's somewhere nowhere near the previous. The majority of the users are not who they say they are. I never made it as far to see how they planned on scamming me. One good method I've used to confirm someone is who they say they are is, ask them for a selfie with them holding up 3 fingers or 4 fingers, you choose. You get the idea

What’s new

We have included access to our featured "Destination" search service as part of our basic free membership to allow you to meet people beyond 100 miles (160KM) and all around the world, even if you can't travel there right now. We also are also providing free access to "My Likes” so you can circle back to people you have "Liked" and would like to connect with. Now you can send them a message or nudge to hopefully match, providing you with a second chance to make a first impression.
