This is a good tradeoff for me. The UI is not great, but I love having access to the best-known versions - many of them available off-line. Edit: I changed my rating from 4 stars to 2 stars because I could find no study tools such as an interlinear tool or dictionary accessible directly from a text. It's fine for casual reading but not for in-depth study.
The loading of the app, then the loading of the daily reading takes just as long and sometimes/alot of times it fails. That is why I rated it below average. 2nd rating. Ok so I uninstalled the app does not work correctly always sending me to the offline verison...what's up with that? Will check back later and reinstall hopefully it will be working better 3rd rating--much better!
The app is great, love it! What i think can make the app more immersive for users who do not really understand what they read is if you add a little quiz after each book you read or if you add a quiz after you read a full page and click that little arrow. That would be awesome to help people understand what they read a little better. But also let that be a feature that you can turn off and on, some people may not need to quiz themselves to see if they actually understood what they read.
Thank you for this wonderful ministry! Suggestion: I would love the ability to highlight just a key word or phrase in the verse. Or maybe even circle. Just a thought! Also, would love to be able to listen to portions of verse. And skipping to certain verses rather than listening to the full chapter. Also, the ability to quickly go back to verses you just looked up. And would you make some verse images using the King James Version also! Thanks so much for this amazing outpouring of love to the body of Christ. One more suggestion: When I complete a Bible plan sometimes I would like to go back and see one or 2 days. But that option is unavailable unless you start the plan over again. So, if there was a way to see the days once completed it would be lovely. Thanks again! 😀
The app itself is OK, but I spend a lot of time deleting the highlighted verses. There needs to be a button to hide the highlighted verses. Also, the reading plans and audio need to have the ability to be used without using the internet. I started a reading plan, and then my internet data was all used, so then what good is the reading plan? In addition, the images for the verse of the day is nice, but not altogether necessary. I also noticed that the verse of the day is behind a day. I hope these changes can be implemented to improve the app.
Needs simple, customizeable sharing settings! Love this app but cannot believe that I can't indivually select the app "friends" with whom I want to share my daily walks. While it would be nice to say everyone could share all of their burdens with all of their online "friends," the truth is that we probably shouldn't. So we don't. We should share our deepest burdens with our spouses and/or maybe a few dear friends, however. The lack of this key feature - so easy with Google photo albums, etc - means sharing photos and facebook memories is easier than sharing our Faith. Sad.
