I love the concept. The game is excellent. The story is solid. It's an awesome way to stay fit. My complaints are with the application itself. It's slow to respond to changes, menu settings are sluggish, it's just a pain to use. Fun to play, nightmare to use.
Great way to keep fit. Its a zombie run because your the one actually running with the story and all. You will thank this app if there come a chance of a zombie apocalypse.
I only played for about an hour for a run. The first thought as I was downloading this was that the app size was way too big for what it should be. It's over 200 mb, larger than most social apps and other games, so it's a considerable investment. I'm not sure what the heck adds up to 200 mb, but this means there's no casual play. This is a story game, not a grinding casual game. The atmosphere is nice, despite the two minute spoken ads before each run. Voice acting is average, but the story moves fast and is enjoyable. However, the content is obviously limited, as I encountered my first pay wall pretty quickly. The fact that they offer a subscription baffles me because unless it's HBO level good, I think this is only worth a one time purchase. I firmly believe that developers who make good, robust games will get their money back without severely limiting the free content. I'm not willing to wait a week between missions, have unchangeable difficulty, still have bugs, among others. I'm intrigued by the story and I want more, but because of the drawbacks, combined with the game size restrictions, it is not worth keeping the game.
I love the concept of this app, but lately it's been a bit buggy. I have the running time for each mission set to minimum, but then there's always this 20 minute silence after the first transmission, and then the rest of the mission transmissions come in right after one another. And I don't hear item pickups any more, despite having that option enabled in settings. Otherwise it's great!
The app is almost awesome. I put the chances of zombies coming at me to the highest possible chance abs or of the 3 months I've had this app I've only encountered them twice. Everything else about this app is great. I just really wish to experience more zombies. Is there a trick to this I don't know about? Edit: I really do like this app. Unfortunately I had to drop my star rating from a 4 to a 3. I double checked the zombie chase status and I have it at 8 chases per hour. After 59 minutes I experienced only one chase. I will gladly rate this at 5 stars if that is fixed.
