The ASV Bible, or American Standard Version, came out in 1901 and was a big deal back then. It’s basically an American update of an older English translation called the Revised Version from the UK. The ASV is known for being very close to the original Hebrew and Greek. If you like word-for-word accuracy, this one delivers though it can feel a bit stiff or old-fashioned now.

They lied, this is Not the ASV Bible, it has been altered, the ASV had God's name Jehovah in it over 6,000 times, they removed the most important name and replaced it with all caps LORD making it more like the altered NASV, except the few places the original KJV had it, such as Ps 83:18. And it is so full of ads it becomes useless unless you pay to remove them.
