Very simple, send a letter, possibly get one back. Or get one from someone unexpected. Very easy process and I like how it takes time, so you can just not worry and do whatever you need to do while waiting for a pen pal to respond. However it is difficult sometimes to edit what you typed out in a letter because it kind of glitches, keeping you from scrolling up or down. Other than that though it's pretty good, I usually just use another app to write it down and edit it myself before sending it.

I have been using Slowly for several months now. Within a few weeks of downloading the app, I connected with someone very similar to me. We've been sending letters back and forth ever since. I would highly recommend this app for those looking for long-form writing. Instead of short chat messages, like other pen pal apps, members frequently write lengthy, descriptive letters. I love Slowly. I hope you love Slowly too.

I've used Slowly off and on for 5 years. they do an excellent job creating a safe atmosphere. Finding people to chat with is easy, there is a variety of people that match my interests and are genuinely looking for pen-pals. If anyone is weird it's easy to get rid of them. You cannot send or receive pictures without consent from both parties. You don't have to give your real name, your location is approximate, and you can block specific tags on profiles to avoid explicit conversations. 10/10.
