Excellent utility, but needs some work This is an excellent app that has some really unique, well functioning, features. However, it really could use some work in a lot of areas. The update feature is very buggy, I still haven't been able to navigate it. As well as this, it's frustrating that you're unable to choose single songs in the alarm. Its unique to have this capability, but I'd enjoy using it in a more convenient way. Lastly, it's probably a licensing issue, but I'd really like to be able to see the queue for the Google Play radio.
Very happy, but . . . There are large chunks of my library that just do not show up in the files available to play, including things downloaded from iTunes within the last month. What I've seen about this on the Sonos forums hasn't worked for me. If WMP can find and index all my music automatically, I have a hard time understanding why Sonos can't. This is really my only complaint, and keeps me from giving a 5 rating.
Happy, but a big but 1) please allow me to select a folder dedicated to music when playing off my mobile. Otherwise the player picks up a lot of random stuff, like ringtones, alarm tones etc 2) am unable to add any songs to my Sonos Playlists. Fix these and it will be awesome.
Works all the time, nearly..... What I want this app to do is reliably control my sonos speakers, access Amazon music and Deezer and very rarely access music on my nas drive. So far it has done that with one minor glitch - it forgot one room when the controller app was updated while that room was playing. Otherwise it has worked fine on a variety of phones.
Weird song order I have selected to organise my Music Library by "Album Artist" and sort folders by "Song Number". So I expect an artist's songs to be played one album at a time, in song number order. Nope, it plays songs in alphabetical order across all albums. Please at least give us an option to play songs in a sensible order.
Pretty good, however... It's a good unit, sound is great, app is quick and responsive. However because it lacks any sort of ability to stream what you hear, I find myself using my Bluetooth speaker more frequently. For the cost of these speakers it should include the ability to play what you hear.
