Sonps please take these user reviews seriously! Update is apalling. User interface is so un-intuitive. Everything takes more clicks to get there or to find what you need and who thought of putting the icons at the bottom of the screen so they get accidentally pressed everytime you pick up your phone?! (This lasted all of a week on Facebook when they rapidly changed it back. Sonos take note!)
Incomprehensible garbage. The new UI is confusing, unintuitive, and takes too many menus and taps to do simple things like: mute the volume in one room, group rooms, change rooms, select music for rooms, set a sleep timer, find a playlist... So just those flaws. This used to be a great app that was easy to use. Now it gives garbage fires a bad name.
The last major update provided 2 things: 1. Bad performance. The app lags while typing and opening menus and searching stuff. (I have a Samsung S8) 2. GUI. A very strong change of style. Hard for long term users to adapt. Wondering what kind of analyses you did with trial customers up front. But everyone can see the ratings in the app store.
Having Sonos for 4+ years this to me is the worst app you have released. I have spent 10 minutes trying to find the radio stations I had saved. It is to me not very intuitive as previous versions. The icons within the app are too large making finding things difficult to find. Widgets use to be set and control for each room now this does not work. Sorry. Please, please, please go back to the previous UI and rethink, test properly with other Sonos users before general release. Thank you.
Any infinitesimal drop in wifi connection, which you wouldn't normally even notice, causes the app to skip to the next track. This has been a known problem for ages and Sonos haven't fixed in with the 12.2017 update. Have they never heard of buffering? I would advise not to invest in the very expensive Sonos hardware until this is fixed.
Worked perfectly well until this last update. It's now absolute garbage. Really difficult to select different music in different rooms, which is supposedly one of the big selling points of sonos. Volume control is awkward too. Selecting your source for a sound bar is unnecessarily complicated as well. If I hadn't invested in the speakers already I would seriously consider buying products from your competitors. The old UI was brilliant by the wayand would get 5 stars.
This update delivers a couple of performance improvements, bug fixes and a security update for the WiFi WPA2 KRACK vulnerability.
