About this app

Dispatch is a new launcher for Android TV that integrates with your existing media from Plex.

Dispatch can be used to connect to your existing Plex library and browser your content in a unified, modern, and feed based interface.

Please note that Dispatch does not stream, download, or acquire any movies or TV shows on its own. It merely acts as a portal to your existing media library.

This app can optionally use Accessibility services if you choose to do so:
Accessibility is used to:
• Detect hardware remote control button presses, in order to customize button actions
• Detect foreground app name, in order to help redirect the user to the selected home experience

Accessibility access is not used to view what you type. No personal data is collected or shared through this service, which is only used locally to serve the above purposes. Accessibility access is completely optional, and users can continue using the app without enabling it.

Ratings and reviews

Promising app but it isn't quite there yet. I went thru full setup and tried this out for a couple days over the weekend. I found that not being a Plex user left many options useless. The UI is nice but I do miss the consolidated 'Play Next' view. I also don't seem to be able to reorganize the App specific rows. Finally, the nail in the coffin is that voice search does not work. It opens but doesn't show any results.

This is exactly what I was looking for my google TV. The main selling point was the customization and Plex integration. It all works perfectly with no slowdowns like other reviewers have. App switching is also perfect and I have encountered no bugs so far. The Plex integration was way more in-depth than I originally thought so that is a huge plus.

this launcher is absolutely wonderful, and much better than the native Google launcher; all of the complaints about speed definitely don't understand that their device is the problem cuz the manufacturer bloated the device with garbage and not enough RAM. if you use Plex a lot (or even a little, because this launcher is definitely faster), then you will absolutely want this app. and complaining about $10 for a lifetime license? seriously? that's stupid. skip your next trip to McDonald's
