You are not just building a Meccanoid Personal Robot, you’re building a friend! Meccanoid is a personality in its own right – with an intelligence shaped by you! Meccanoid tells jokes, plays games, etc…

Meccanoid can be programmed 3 different ways: LIM Programming, Ragdoll Programming, & Behavior Builder. Behavior Builder & Ragdoll Programming can only be activated through the Meccanoid app.

NEW!!! BEHAVIOUR BUILDER: The Meccanoid App contains a new feature called “Behavior Builder”. Behavior Builder allows you to program your Meccanoid robot to perform actions and wait for triggers to perform new actions. Have your Meccanoid introduce itself and ask for a handshake before telling a funny joke! Press a button on the Meccanoid’s chest to have it initiate an activity. All your previous animations can be inserted into Behavior Builder and become part of the program.

RAGDOLL: In this mode, you can control Meccanoid’s arm and foot motors to make Meccanoid twist, turn or move any way you want.

LEARNED INTELLIGENT MOVEMENT: Program movements and sounds by manipulating the robot like a puppet and play them back with a push of a button.


YOU ARE IN CONTROL!

The app allows you to create your own choreographed moves developed by you! Record sound & motor movement and simply play it back.

Kudos to Spinmaster for developing an app that completely destroys what would otherwise be a pleasant experience. After you've given the app access to everything on your device (contacts, photos, videos, files, location, etc.), you get the displeasure of being forced through a cumbersome tutorial every single time you open the app. These are mind-blowingly obvious flaws, so the fact that this app continues on in its present state makes clear that the developer just doesn't care. Uninstalled.

The app itself is rather moderate; it doesn't allow as much fluid control as you would like, and is rather awkward in layout at parts. However my main bone to pick is the ludicrous amount of permissions the app demands to have access to. In total, it wishes for all of your contact details, access to all files, media and photos, your actual real world location and access to your microphone. This is a ridiculous+unnecessary amount, and the app won't work unless you concent to all. Utterly creepy.

The app is terrible, the start up cutscene is always there when i want to use the robot and you cant skip it, it also takes more than 10 minutes to go through and bugs out lots ,truly terrible fron such a large company, do better meccano
