Edit Update: with ad removal for $8, this is a no brainer. Great app, but not a fan of the new subscription option. I've been using this app off and on since it was posted to reddit ages ago. I do understand developers need to make money to continue to improve, but I'm not a fan of subscriptions. If they had a one time payment option to remove the ads I'd be more inclined to actually buy it. Other than that, highly recommend this as an alternative for Skritter.

I really like this app. I like that it's aligned to the HSK which matches the textbooks I use, but I can learn to write traditional characters (they're easier for me to read). I love that recalling the parts of the characters is part of the exercise. Makes learning easier. I'm looking forward to more HSK levels being added in the future.

this app is great. It combines both anki logic with writing practice. and the game part is also fun. for what i think could be a good addition is a pinyin learning game where you had to choose the correct pinyin for the showen hanzi.
