SubCav: Soccer Substitutions

About this app

SubCav is a free youth soccer substitution app that helps coaches run fair substitutions and share the game with parents.

Set up a game and let SubCav build a balanced substitution schedule for you. It keeps every player's total minutes close and never sits a player two blocks in a row. Or build the rotation yourself, block by block.

During the game, one screen is your sub timer and lineup board: the clock, the score, who's on, who's up next, and each player's real playing time, tracked from what actually happens on the field rather than from the plan. A chime and buzz warn you before each sub. The live game runs right on your phone, even with no signal at the field, and syncs when you're back online.

Parents don't need the app or a login. Share a live link and they can watch the game from any phone browser: clock, score, positions, and each player's minutes, updating on their own. If parents' phone numbers are on your roster and they've okayed texts, you can send that live link straight to them.

Between games, SubCav keeps your season together: results, goals, penalties, and total field time per player, plus a schedule parents can subscribe to in their own calendar app so it stays up to date. Add past games by hand, save a setup you like as a game plan to reuse, and keep your team's photos in one place.

New to SubCav? Load a ready-made demo team to explore every screen, then remove it in one tap.

SubCav is free for every coach and every team.

SubCav is the mobile companion to the SubCav web app. Create your account and set up your teams at app.subcav.com, then sign in here to coach.

What’s new

SubCav no longer asks for access to your photos and videos. Choosing a photo now uses Android's own photo picker.
