Patient-Reported Impact of Dermatological Diseases (PRIDD) is a new and unique measure of the impact of dermatological diseases on the patient’s life and is the first dermatology-specific tool that is applicable to all skin conditions. No other dermatology tool has such broad applicability.
PRIDD assesses four dimensions of impact: physical, psychological, life responsibilities and social impacts.
PRIDD was developed using a scientifically rigorous and published methodology, resulting in the only dermatology-specific PROM that can be recommended for use according to the COnsensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement INstruments (COSMIN) criteria.
PRIDD was developed over seven years in partnership with Cardiff University, University of Hamburg, GlobalSkin and more than 5600 patients living with 90 different dermatological conditions from 96 countries. Each of the development phases of PRIDD have been published in reputable dermatology journals. It the first validated measure in dermatology developed with patients at every step of the process. The entire dermatology community – patients, clinicians, researchers, and pharmaceutical companies – can use PRIDD to better understand patient suffering thereby promoting improved patient-centered healthcare.
