About this app
Synfo brings information from official sources together in one place: earthquake and tsunami reports, traffic reports and local advisories. You see them on a clear map, and you get a notification when something concerns the places you care about.
WHAT YOU GET
• Earthquake reports worldwide, from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS)
• Tsunami reports from the NOAA tsunami centers
• Traffic reports for South Tyrol: roadworks, closures and delays
• Local advisories from partner organisations
More sources and regions are being added.

• One map with everything around you, sorted by category
• Save places such as home, work or school and choose the topics for each
• Set your own radius for what counts as nearby
• 25 languages, and reports can be translated automatically
• Open the original source with one tap
• Use Synfo as a guest; an account is optional
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your exact location stays on your phone. To deliver the right notifications, our server only learns coarse map areas. No movement profile, no personalised advertising, no selling of data. Some report images may show a clearly marked sponsor.
EASY ON YOUR BATTERY
Synfo does not keep GPS running. It uses your phone's geofencing to notice when you reach a new area and updates your topics then.

Synfo forwards information from its sources and shows their original title. It is not an official service and does not replace announcements by the authorities.

What’s new
Thank you for testing Synfo! Currently, only the worldwide earthquake alert, the traffic information service in South Tyrol, and tsunamiwarnings in NorthSouth America are active. I will also occasionally add my own notifications for testing purposes. If you have any problems or suggestions, please feel free to contact me. I am particularly interested in the battery consumption, what you think of the app's structure, and whether all features are explained clearly. I look forward to your feedback!
