Fast Media Sorter is a file organizer for Android. You open a source folder, look at each file once, and send it where it belongs - one decision per file, until the folder is empty.

Sorting is what the app is for:

• You choose the folders on both sides - DCIM, Downloads, chat media, an SD card, a USB drive, an SMB/CIFS, FTP or SFTP share, Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox.
• Decide and move on - copy, move, rename or delete, then straight to the next file.
• Every file type, not only media - photos, video, music, PDF, EPUB, text and archives.
• Batch operations across folders and protocols, including cross-cloud transfers with progress and ETA.
• Scheduled operations - set up a transfer between two folders once and let it run on its own.
• Trash with a 5-minute recovery window, thumbnails, advanced sort and filters, multi-select and drag-to-reorder.
• Share a network folder as a QR code, so another device joins it by scanning.

Why the app asks for access to all files:

Sorting has to reach the folders you pick, not only the app's own private storage - a file organizer that cannot write into your destination folder does nothing at all. That is why the all-files permission is requested, and it is the permission the main workflow depends on. Nothing leaves your device because of it: there is no account and no telemetry.

Because you have to see a file before deciding about it, the viewers and players are built in:

• Photo & image viewer - rotate, color filters, crop, draw annotations, OCR text extraction and AR-style translation overlay, save a compressed copy.
• Video player on ExoPlayer (Media3) - Picture-in-Picture, sleep timer, per-file resume, 3D/stereo and 360° detection.
• Music player - background playback, lyrics search, album art, visualizers and Chromecast output.
• PDF & EPUB reader - text-to-speech, themes, search and in-place translation.
• Text editor - charset auto-detection, Markdown rendering, syntax highlight.
• Slideshow - background music, per-resource interval, play-video-to-end, configurable transitions.
• Built-in camera - device-matched lenses, zoom range and photo sizes, shooting straight into the folder you pick.
• Live TV & radio - thousands of internet channels with search, topic filters, pinned favorites, station artwork and now-playing information.

For every screen and input:

• Full keyboard, TV remote / D-pad and gamepad navigation.
• Home-screen widgets - resource launch, continue reading, random music, camera photos.
• Quick Settings tile for background audio. Search across every settings entry.
• Wear OS support - browse local media and play from network shares transferred from your phone directly on your watch, without requiring a constant phone connection.

Free, open and private - the app source code is published under Apache License 2.0, and local, SMB, FTP and SFTP browsing plus the image, video, audio, PDF and EPUB viewers all work fully offline, without any account.
