Brian Kochera (Brian)
It does what the description says it does. I use it to monitor my vocal range growth as I am doing vocal exercises to increase both my upper and lower vocal range. Additionally, it's useful in identifying off pitch issues with a given song. The one thing I find most problematic is the lack of Help or FAQ guidence in usage and most importantly user support for how to use and optimize the app settings. When this issue is addressed, I will revise my review.

BEST. PRACTICE. TOOL. EVER!!!! This is a mirror for your ear. There are many tuning apps out there, but this one allows you to see the waveform you are creating. Not only in terms of pitch, but how steady your breath flow is and how your tones are connecting or not. Many have very well developed ears, but still have a blind spot when it comes to listening to themselves. This app bridges the gap by giving a very objective visual display of what everyone else is hearing.

It's pretty great for singing, I suspect. It is almost good enough to use to practice speech tones (like Thai or Mandarin), except that you have to speak very slowly and zoom to the maximum (horizontally) to see the shape. Also it breaks up for deeper male speech registers - better for higher registers.
