Control your action camera straight from your WearOS watch.
It talks to the camera directly over Bluetooth, so you can leave your phone at home. No companion app, no Wi-Fi, no pairing dance every time you head out.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Start and stop recording
• Take photos
• Tag the moment while you are recording, so the highlight is easy to find later
• Switch capture mode: video, photo, slow motion, timelapse, hyperlapse and loop — plus the full spherical set on a 360 camera
• See battery level and recording time at a glance
• Check how much space is left on the card
• Set a countdown before capture (3 to 15 seconds)
• Keep the camera connected while the screen is off
• Put the camera to sleep, or just disconnect
BUILT FOR THE WATCH
Three swipeable screens: everything you need while recording is one tap away on the middle screen, camera info sits to the left, and modes and settings to the right. The design is deliberately plain and high contrast, because you are usually looking at it in bright sunlight, in a hurry, or with gloves on. There is a watch face complication and a tile, so you can see the camera's state without opening the app.
FIRST CONNECTION
The first time you connect, the camera shows a four-digit code — confirm it on the camera itself. After that it reconnects silently.
COMPATIBILITY
Osmo Action 4, Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo Action 6 and Osmo 360.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
There is no live preview and no media download. Both need Wi-Fi and, in practice, a phone — and the whole point of this app is to leave the phone behind. Individual capture settings such as ISO, white balance and resolution are not available over Bluetooth either. A sleeping camera cannot be woken over Bluetooth; use its power button.
PRIVACY
djiControl collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, and the app has no internet permission at all. Bluetooth is used solely to talk to your own camera.
