Hanwha Vision Inc.’s Wisenet SmartCam app is linked to our Smart Home Camera and enables easy home monitoring, at any time from wherever you are.
Using the Wisenet SmartCam app, you can register your camera conveniently and access a range of functions. The camera detects movement and noises in your home, and notifies you through the app to enable the appropriate responses. This app will protect your valuables.
In addition to monitoring your home, the Wisenet SmartCam app and our SmartCam can be used to keep an eye on children, pets or stores.

Ratings and reviews

I finally reached a rep, the app has been discontinued. All services related to the app have been stopped and live support for any issues has been terminated. Wisenet Hanwha won't offer future support for any issues and all products and services relating to the app are now discontinued as the products reached the "end of life" as far as they are concerned. Even new camera models previously able to link to the Wisenet SmartCam app are incompatible with any future applications as well.

I have several cameras. Most worked great for years. When version 2.31 came out, Wisenet sent out a message that the model will be discontinued. What it should say is how to turn off the option to automatically update software. And if that doesn't happen, they should provide instructions on how to delete the software and reinstall the previous version so it will work again. I found instructions somewhere online, but can't find it now. [Note: If you use iOS, you can't download older versions]

"Termination of cloud service support" is not a reason to update. There are no functional changes to this app after the update and it seems pathetic to just drop support for older cameras for no reason whatsoever. The old version of this app on iOS still works fine, so this looks like a change purely to push users to upgrade hardware!!!! Luckily older cameras still support RTSP for viewing; but this is an entirely anti-consumer update that doesn't reflect well on this company.
