The Tesla app puts owners in direct communication with their vehicles and Powerwalls anytime, anywhere. With this app, you can:

- Check charging progress in real time and start or stop charging
- Heat or cool your car before driving – even if it's in a garage
- Lock or unlock from afar
- Locate your vehicle with directions or track its movement
- Send an address from your favorite apps to start navigation in your car
- Allow your passengers to quickly control media
- Flash lights or honk the horn to find your vehicle when parked
- Vent or close the panoramic roof
- Summon your vehicle out of your garage or a tight parking space (for vehicles with Autopilot)
- Update your vehicle software from wherever you are
- Engage with Powerwall: monitor how much energy is stored from solar, used by your home, or exported to the grid
- Download your solar production and battery usage data

I remember when this app worked flawlessly. Now it is 6+ months of intermittently not being able to access the car when I walk up to it, sighing, accessing my phone to open the app to unlock, and then there is a 25% that I also have to tell the car to start. This can be hours after exiting the car or 5 minutes. Update: the app has gotten worse. I've been forced to uninstall and reinstall the app multiple times to maintain full functionality. So annoying when I need it.

Car Swapping Automatically Is Frustrating. What I mean by this is I have 2 cars in my app and it's constantly swapping to the one I don't actively drive. One is my primary Tesla and the other is a secondary that I rarely drive. It's not even in the same State most of the time! So it makes no sense why it's constantly defaulting to the other one. The only thing I can determine is the names are alphabetical and my primary comes later. This needs to be fixed. It makes map sharing annoying.

Highly disappointed. I had high hopes for Tesla given they are a technology company, but it seems like it is not as high rech as I thought. the app is not as user friendly as can be, no support phone and other issues. On top of this, had to wait 6 weeks for a vehicle then was rescheduled then rescheduled again, seems like not as organized as can be. Seriously considering canceling my order.
