Tezzo is a carpooling app for intercity travel in India. Drivers heading somewhere post their empty seats; passengers going the same way book one and share the cost of the trip.
You pay the driver directly, in cash or by UPI. Tezzo does not take a commission and does not handle your money.
FOR PASSENGERS
• Search any route and see rides going your way, with the driver's name, rating and price per seat
• Book seats for yourself or for others travelling with you
• Get picked up along the route, not only at the start — drivers list their stopovers, and you can book just the stretch you need
• Create a ride alert and get a notification the moment somebody posts your route
• Message the driver in the app before the trip
• Choose a seat preference and add extras like luggage space where the driver offers them
FOR DRIVERS
• Post a ride in a guided flow: pickup, drop, route, stopovers, date, time, seats and price
• Post the same ride for several dates at once
• Set a price for each leg, so somebody joining halfway pays for the part they travel
• Accept requests yourself, or turn on auto-accept
• Share your fuel and toll costs instead of driving empty
SAFETY
• Verify your identity with a government ID — Aadhaar, driving licence, PAN or passport
• Women-only rides, which only women drivers can post
• Share a live link of your trip with someone you trust
• An SOS button that alerts your emergency contact
• Rate each other after the ride, and report anyone who behaves badly

WHO IT IS FOR
People who travel between Indian cities and towns and would rather share a car than take a bus or train, and drivers making the same trip who would rather not drive alone. Delhi to Jaipur, Noida to Sikar, Bengaluru to Mysuru, Ahmedabad to Junagadh, or any route somebody is driving today.
WHY CARPOOL
One car carrying four people instead of four cars carrying one each is cheaper for everybody in it and puts three fewer cars on the road.
WHAT TEZZO DOES NOT DO
Tezzo is not a taxi or cab service, and drivers are not professional drivers. It connects people who are already making a journey. Money is settled between the passenger and the driver, outside the app.
