Great software, Poor version The Brain is one of the best tools for organizing information and being able to visualize the connections between topics. However, if I can't import models that have already been created, this app is useless on a phone. Am I really expected to sit here and rebuild all my existing models on a 5.5 inch screen? Once the app is updated to be able to access pre existing models I will re install and re rate.
I love the brain but I cant say the same thing for the brain android app. I appreciate the effort the devs are putting in but unless you are going to perform a complete overhaul of the app and its functionality you are going to loose a big portion of your customers . The currentl world is constantly on the move and this app is not. Its not possible to do some of the tasks quick and easy. Its just useless to me and for someone who is paying a lot of money for the brain app i find the this not very good. Look at trello for example they have a free web and android app that works fantastic . I am aware that the different products but please hear your customers and improve the android app .. please :)
This rocks Finally. A handy brain. Can I save the data to my sd card? Or does the brain just get saved in the cloud. I can see myself spending alot of time with this app. Bravo. Keep the improvements coming! Would be nice to be able to pull away children and parents from three nodes she as in the desktop app.
So close.. But yet so far 95% but only 1 star as missing feature is so important and should be easy enough to implement. You can't add a tag or a thought type to thoughts. Which means if you have a thought and add it in android you have to remember to add it's type and tags when you get back to desktop. Defeats the purpose of getting thought out of your head. 5 stars when this is implemented.
Requires Data Connection I have been a user of the brain for so long I was excited to get it on my mobile device where it is most relevant. To my surprise a session was interrupted when I lost data conectivity. Deal killer IMO.
Congested small screen display and no offline I like the Brain's concept, but found 2 difficulties with it. On my smartphone screen child topics were displayed so close to each other that it was hard to select the topic of interest (better would be either to separate topics more - possibly configurably - or have a zoom function). The other problem is that it would not operate without internet connection, lacking an offline mode (my ideal is that being on- or offline be seamless)
• Pasting/editing Notes saves properly
• App correctly saves Text Size preferences
• Scrolling up on Brains list is fixed
• Pinned Thoughts remain in place when their native thought receives a new Thought link
• Full color palette displays properly on all Tablets
• User preference added for hardware vs. software rendering
• When logging in with the wrong password, the password is cleared
• Visual feedback is displayed when clicking on a Pin or Past Thought List
