The app falls short of its potential. I was quite looking forward to the read article function, until I realized that the screen had to be active for it to play. Either screen 'off' times had to be extended or every minute I had to touch my screen. Would have made much more use of it if it had that basic functionality. As a result, didn't use it very much and cancelled my subscription (a ridiculous process that has to be done by phone rather than online).

Hi Rae, thanks for the feedback. We are currently working on a solution for our audio playback feature issues.
For whatever reason, this app does not support the "swipe down to force a refresh" function that practically every other Android news app supports. Additionally, and not sure if this is a Chrome or Globe app issue, but trying to view the G & M desktop site from Chrome on my Android device automatically launches the Globe app. This is a new issue in the last month or two, and essentially means that if I want to see or post comments to a Globe article, I must use a PC or laptop ONLY.

App works, but the service is awful. I cancelled it after a year and they kept charging me. Btw, cancellation must be through phone, so there's no paper trail. Never again.
