Cubejay is a cube timer and a 3x3 cube solver in one app. Time your solves with a hold-and-release start, or scan a scrambled cube with your camera and follow the solution move by move on a 3D cube.
A SPEEDCUBE TIMER FOR DAILY PRACTICE
Hold both thumbs on the screen and release to start, or switch to tap mode for one hand. Touch anywhere to stop. The 15-second inspection adds +2 after 15 seconds and a DNF after 17, with an optional buzz at 8 and 12 seconds. You can also hide the time while you solve.
3x3 scrambles start from a random cube position, and a small drawing shows your cube after the scramble, from 2x2 up to 7x7. Each time is saved the moment you stop. +2, DNF and delete take one tap, and one more tap undoes them.
STATS
avg 5, avg 12 and your best single sit under the timer. Open the stats for your mean, a chart of time per solve and the spread of your times. Keep separate sessions for each puzzle.
11 PUZZLES
3x3, 2x2 and 4x4 are free. Pro adds 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, Pyraminx, Skewb, Megaminx, Square-1 and Clock.
A 3X3 CUBE SOLVER THAT EXPLAINS ITSELF
Scan the six faces with your camera, with a flashlight button and a warning when the light is too dim to tell red from orange, or enter the colors by hand. Cubejay checks your cube first and points to the sticker that does not fit, such as two edges with the same colors or a twisted corner.
Then pick a way to solve it:
- Beginner method: seven steps, layer by layer, free and unlimited.
- Shortest solution: usually around 20 moves. Free gives you 3 a day, and a short video adds one more.
Each move plays on a 3D cube with a speed slider from 0.25x to 2x, and you can step back at any time. This 3x3 solver works offline and solves no other puzzle.
LEARN OLL, PLL AND F2L
The beginner guide, 2-look OLL (10 cases) and 2-look PLL (6 cases) are free. Pro opens all 119 cases: OLL 57, PLL 21 and F2L 41. Practice a random case with its setup moves and mark the ones you know: an OLL PLL trainer next to your timer.
