About this app

Repcrest is a push up counter that counts your reps with the front camera, right on your phone. Put the phone on the floor, start the set and keep your eyes on the number. No camera? Tap the screen with your nose or chin instead.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Take the 1-minute level test: as many push-ups as you can with good form, full or on your knees.
2. Repcrest builds your daily sets from that number.
3. Tap Start, then Done. Each set ends by itself when you reach the target, the rest timer runs, and the next set starts. You stay on the floor.

A CAMERA THAT SAYS WHAT IT SEES
The camera follows your head and shoulders going down and up. If it loses your shoulders, it says so, pauses the count and tells you how to move the phone, instead of guessing. The +1 and -1 buttons are always there. Camera frames are read on this phone and stay in memory for a moment: nothing is recorded or sent.

NOSE TAP MODE
Prefer no camera? Touch the screen with your nose or chin at the bottom of each rep. The whole middle of the screen is one big target, and a beep marks every rep (you can turn it off).

THE 0 TO 50 PUSHUP CHALLENGE
The first program is free: from where you are today to 50 in a row in 30 days. Five sets a day with the last one as many as you can, a little more every 5 days, and a final test on day 30.

TRACKER AND STREAK
Progress shows your streak calendar, push-ups per week compared with last week, and your best sets. Each workout summary shows your record and tomorrow's sets. A missed day can count as a rest day, so the streak survives a busy week (0 to 2 per week in Settings). A daily reminder arrives at the time you pick.

SQUAT COUNTER AND PLANK TIMER
Squats are counted with the camera or by tapping the screen. The plank timer shows your target and your longest hold, with a tip to keep your hips level.

FREE AND PRO
Free: camera and nose tap counting, push-ups, squats and plank with no limit, the 0 to 50 program and your last 7 days of detailed history. Repcrest Pro (yearly with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, monthly, or one lifetime payment) adds: 100 push-ups (8 weeks), Squats 30 days (20 to 100), Plank to 5 minutes (4 weeks), your own sets, full history with CSV export, a streak widget for your home screen, and no ads. You can also try Pro for 24 hours by watching 2 short videos, once a day.

NO ADS WHILE YOU TRAIN
The free version shows a banner on the Progress screen, and a full-screen ad may appear now and then after you tap Done on a workout summary. Never while you count, rest or hold a plank.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. Your workouts are saved on this phone and never sent to us. Permissions: camera (asked only when you choose camera counting; say no and it counts with taps), notifications for the daily reminder (asked after your first workout) and, if you start the free trial, one reminder 2 days before it ends, start at boot so the reminder returns after a restart, vibration and wake lock, plus the advertising ID, network and billing permissions of Google's ad and purchase libraries. Internet is used for ads, purchases, crash reports and a small settings file from tinyfair.my.id.
