Jet Engine Start Simulator puts a turbine start panel in your hand. Switch on the battery and the fuel pump, turn the START switch to GND and listen to the air starter wind up the core. When N2 passes 20%, slide the fuel lever up to RUN: the igniters tick, the fuel lights off with a thump and the EGT needle climbs while the engine spools up to idle. Push the throttle and the fan follows a few seconds late, the way a big turbine does.
Three engines
• High-Bypass Turbofan: airliner type, slow spool, deep fan buzz
• Turbofan + Afterburner: fighter type, fast spool, sharp whistle and an afterburner gate with five flame rings
• Turboprop: propeller thrum, torque and prop rpm
All three are open from the start. No unlocks, no energy bars, no timers.
A start you can get wrong
• Fuel too early (below 15% N2) gives a hot start: EGT passes the red line and the start aborts.
• Let go of the starter too early and the start hangs below self-sustaining speed.
• A normal start shows your time to idle and peak EGT, and keeps a record for each engine.
Gauges that react
• N1, EGT, N2 and fuel-flow dials with boxed digital readouts (TRQ and prop rpm on the turboprop)
• Start valve and igniter lights, oil pressure, needles that settle with a little overshoot
• Throttle lever with IDLE / CLB / TO detents and haptic ticks
• Fuel flow in kg/h or lb/h, EGT always in °C
Sound you control
• Starter whine, compressor whistle, fan buzz, combustion roar, afterburner rumble and propeller beat
• Spool-down in 12 seconds, or the full length of about 45 seconds
• Quick start flips the switches for you
• CUT and mute are always on screen, and the sound stops when you leave the app
• Volume limit with a loud-sound reminder, vibration on or off
• No special permissions: no microphone, camera or location
Every sound is synthesized in the app from tones and filtered noise. There are no recordings of any engine or aircraft, and no aircraft type, engine model or airline is shown.
