Photograph a maths problem or type a formula, and MathShorts works through it step by step and turns the result into a short vertical video.
■ Photograph it, or type it
Point the camera at a textbook or worksheet and the app reads the expression. You see what it read and can correct it before anything else happens, so a misread never carries on quietly. You can also type the expression yourself.
■ Solutions as video
The worked solution becomes a short vertical video. Finished videos are stored on your device, and you can share them to other apps if you want to.
■ Formulas that move
Type a formula and the app animates the curve it describes as it is drawn. Quadratics, trigonometric functions, exponentials and logarithms, the normal distribution, ellipses, spirals and Lissajous curves are all supported.
Physics formulas are drawn with verified scenes. Kepler's three laws and the orbit equation, Hooke's law, simple harmonic motion, travelling waves, projectile motion, universal gravitation, Coulomb's law and Ohm's law are among 24 laws with their own animation. Motion whose speed varies over time, such as Kepler's equal-area law, is computed from the physics rather than swept at a constant rate.
When a formula has several variables, the values held fixed are written on screen, so it is clear which assumptions the drawn curve rests on.
■ Preview before you spend
You can preview a video before it is made. Credits are spent after you have seen it.
■ Credits
New accounts start with 30 credits. Watching a rewarded ad to the end earns 5 credits, up to three times a day. Credit packs are available if you want more.
If a result comes back unusable, the credits are returned.
■ Languages
Korean and English are supported, and captions and narration are produced in the language you choose.
■ Privacy
Videos you create and your edits stay on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. You can export your data or delete your account from inside the app.
