DaTrans is a document translation app for reading PDF and EPUB files, translating them, and comparing the result with the original.

Original, translation, and comparison
Switch between original, translation, and comparison modes. Move horizontal or vertical splitters to review both texts together.

PDF annotations and region translation
Create annotated copies of PDFs. Select a word, sentence, or region and check it in translation chat.

Save and export
Save translated results as PDF or EPUB.

Translation options
Free on-device translation is available. Pro subscribers can register their own API key (BYOK) for supported translation models. Pro removes ads and output watermarks.

For complex equations, tables, and scanned documents, compare the translation with the original.

What’s new

Rebuilt the library and reading tools: contents and page navigation moved to a right-hand drawer, and the reading tools are now icons.
Reading direction can be set separately for PDF and EPUB, and EPUB can show pages, reading position or progress.
Region translation is its own screen, and API keys and models have a dedicated settings screen.
Books and PDFs of several hundred pages now finish, and Korean typography no longer drops out on some documents.
