About this app

- BETA VERSION -

Welcome to the beta program for Microsoft SwiftKey Keyboard - here you can test early performance updates, new unreleased features, customizations, and special themes. Thanks for helping us make Microsoft SwiftKey the best it can be!

The Microsoft SwiftKey beta app for Android will not replace the regular Microsoft SwiftKey app on your phone, but will be downloaded as a second app so you can switch between the two for comparison.

Beta Expectations

Features in the beta app are in active development and might not work perfectly or ever be released to the main Microsoft SwiftKey app.

How you can help make Microsoft SwiftKey better

I have used this app for many years and liked it, but sometime in the last few months, the predictions have gotten awful. The context stuff bothers me less, but it's suggesting misspelled words and gibberish the majority of the time. I used to be able to check spellings via the predictions, but now I have to look up words like it's twenty years ago. Technology is supposed to get better, not worse. If it doesn't improve soon, I'm ditching it.

EDIT; Reducing to 1 star. I was right about the trajectory; ORIGINAL:This used to be a five star app with an uncanny ability to predict what I wanted to type. Now, it fights with me all the time, insisting on correcting properly-typed text into actual gibberish even when I am repeating a phrase it should have learned via personalization. I can't find anything better at prediction or that has arrow keys, so I am sticking with this for now, but I really don't like this app's current trajectory.

Definitely the best keyboard. I've been searching for a keyboard like this that allows real world customization. The ability to have a number pad and functions for excel sheets is by far the best option. I do a lot on my Samsung Fold and this keyboard not only makes it easier, but also helps me to do it with less typing mistakes. I can only find one option that would improve it and that would be to add and icon for bitmoji. Switching keyboards is a pain.
