karaoke is much more preferable than Facebook marketplace. I find that the transactions are much more intentional on karrot. the seller and customer base don't mess around or leave you on read. I find there to be less lowballing and typical scummy maneuvers. I've since stopped using Facebook altogether. I suppose I can say too that there are less options on karrot in comparison but the lack of people ignoring your messages makes up for it.

The concept is good. The flaws in it are everywhere. People selling items in the free section, ot with listed items that are sold and a sort of overlapping of areas with no organization. Seems like there is confusion about locations and categories and searches that don't work until you get lost in a seller's items and left with no base search. Slowly this is dying and another app implodes on itself like a ghost town.

It's a good app for buying/selling and good community, but many of the descriptions are AI generated and sometimes not accurate. In addition, there is no way to rate someone for a failed transaction. For instance I met up to buy an item, but it was in far worst condition than the images, and so I declined to buy it. However because I didn't "buy" it, the app doesn't let me rate him.
