TrailComms Direct (TCD) is a voice-call app for ski and snowboard crews. No dedicated radio needed: just your phone and earphones, so you can talk while you ride.
JOIN WITH A CODE OR QR
Create a room, share the code or QR, and your crew is in. No account sign-up.
KNOW THE STATUS WITHOUT LOOKING
Voice cues tell you when your mic is on or muted, with an optional reminder beep while you stay muted.
MUTE EASILY
One button mutes you, or everyone. Push-to-talk, volume buttons, supported earphone buttons and an external button (Shelly BLU Button) work too.
RECORD VIDEO WHILE YOU TALK
Keep the call going while you film, with your crew's voices recorded together. Videos stay on your phone in your Movies folder and are never uploaded.
SEE WHERE EVERYONE IS
While you are connected, the people in your room appear on a map to help you regroup and stay safe. Location is used only if you allow it.
RESORT INFO (NISEKO AND MORE)
Check lift status as a list or on a map.
If you opt in, anonymous location data helps calculate lift wait times for everyone (switch it off any time).
Listen to the resort's live announcements, even with the screen off.
FOR GUIDES AND SCHOOLS
Guide mode lets a guide lead customers in one place, with a broadcast button to speak to all rooms of the company (guide company account required).
PRICING
The free plan gives you up to 60 minutes a day of calls, camera and map, all free. Watch a video ad to extend your call time. Paid plans (24 hours / monthly) allow more people per room. Purchases use Google Play Billing.
PERMISSIONS
Microphone (calls), camera (QR scan and video), location (map, nearby resort detection, optional wait-time contribution) and notifications (call invitations). Calls work without location.

What’s new
- A TCD logo watermark is now added to the top-left of videos recorded with the camera (on by default). You can turn it on or off with the "TCD Logo Watermark" switch in the camera settings (gear icon).
- When you start recording without earphones, your own microphone is left out for the first 2 seconds so the recording-start cue is not picked up loudly.
