Great for holidays, housesharing, accounting in couples, organizing parties or events with several people, managing your budget, etc.

As simple as it gets:Focus on super simple and intuitive layout.
A simple link to share your expenses - a bit like Doodle.
Anyone in the group can add their own expenses and see the balance.
Split expenses unevenly: great if you're traveling with kids for example.
Works offline: so you can use it even in the most remote spots or on the beach ;-).
Phone or Web: Works on the web or by downloading the app (iPhone, Android and Windows phone).
Push notifications (optional): when someone adds or edits expenses.
Log in (optional) to link all your tricounts to your profile.

create a tricount, share your link with friends ... et voilà !

Tricount makes sorting out and divvying your group expenses very easy when you organize activities (for example: ski trip, citytrip, holidays with a classroom, flatmates etc.)

Gone are the days of the old excel file : an easier and effective solution exists to breakdown the costs, sharing expense reports, list tickets and spending. Tricount does the accounting and balances the cost for your group expenses.

It lets you breakdown the budget of a group and track expenses during a trip or any occasion with friends. It can be used by couples, between colleagues, roommates & flatmates. It is a simple yet powerful tool to figure out who owes what to whom and balance spendings : I owe you, you owe me (IOU) ... so easy !

Create your group expenses on your mobile (even offline), during your group activity. Send everyone the link (a la Doodle), and your friends too can add their own expense or see your changes.

Tricount then tells you who should pay what to whom to balance the group.

Very useful for any activity with friends and colleagues: holiday, city-trip, flat sharing & flatmates, week-ends, everyday lunch with colleagues, parties, etc. In your couple, you can create a tricount to know who has paid what this month, or on holiday.
The app exists on iPhone, Android & Windows phone, and on the web ! All currencies are accepted, even bitcoins if you want.

It's quick and easy without requiring anyone to sign up. And you can share with others who have signed up as read only or read write. Premium feature model makes no sense unless you keep long running groups though. It's a fixed fee per expense group, scaled by the number of members. Unfortunately app doesn't support having multiple payers on an expense, you have to file it as separate inputs. Sort of defeats the purpose if it's complicated to enter anyway.

Thanks for your feedback Mike. Premium is offered per tricount and the price depends on the number of participants in your group. It's a single in-App purchase so you keep the Premium functionalities. We are working on the future of the app and we are open to user feedback, feel free to contact us via email at Regards, Tobi

Generally a great app. However, it's a bit confusing in the way it calculates "My total". Intuitively, I would expect that number to reflect how much a single trip has cost me (meaning outgoing minus incoming transfers) but I still cannot tell what that number means. I have to go back to my bank statement to figure out my true expenses.

Thanks for your feedback. "My total" is the sum of all your parts of all expenses. So we sum up all parts from the "For whom" section of all expenses. You can contact us via email at if you have any questions. Regards, Tobi

I like the idea of the app, but it did not work correctly in my experience. I had some charges that I was trying to split up between 3 people. Some of the charges were split up evenly, but some were not. It never calculated correctly to show who was owed what. Although each person in our party had made purchases, it only reflected balances for 2 of us. All of the things that we entered seemed to be correct, but it just wouldn't work as far as the totals go. Uninstall

Thanks for your feedback Barb. Tricount shows you the simplest way to settle all debts, ensuring that the number of transactions to settle all debts is kept to a minimum within the group. The balances are updated after any change in the expenses. Please contact us via email at and we can have a look at your case. Regards, Tobi
