Ratings and reviews

I love this app for its informed reviews that can really help you make the most of your trip and the ability to book is great too. The big downside however, is needing internet connection to see your trips, which is fine if your visiting the Premier Inn in Basingstoke, but if you're in Moroccan desert like we were, it's not so easy to confirm your booking. My advice is to take screenshots until TripAdvisor update the app.

Tripadvisor is an amazing travel companion! It’s easy to find hotels, restaurants, and activities anywhere in the world. I love how the reviews and photos help me decide where to go. The map and filter features make trip planning simple and fast. Sometimes the loading speed could be improved, but overall it’s a reliable and helpful app for every traveler.

30/11/25 Update: Whilst I'm still an advocate for TripAdvisor it's clear to see the number of fake reviews have increased significantly. You can manually skip through these but means that finding places to stay is taking increasingly more time and not as easy to do. Downgraded from my initial 4 stars review to 3 stars and now to 2 stars, such a shame.
