About this app

PoolMath makes swimming pool care, maintenance and management easy by tracking chlorine, pH, alkalinity and other levels to help calculate how much salt, bleach and other chemicals to add. Keep swimming in your TroubleFreePool with Pool Math.

Crystal clear algae free pool water is what Trouble Free Pool Math is committed to. Pool Math performs all the calculations you need to keep your chlorine, pH, calcium, alkalinity, and stabilizer levels balanced.

Why choose Pool Math over the others?

Other apps claim to make testing easy by using test strips and your phone's camera. Unfortunately, this is simply too good to be true. Test strips are notoriously inaccurate and end up costing you much more money in both chemicals and the tests themselves in the long run. Trouble Free Pool believes using a proper test kit is much easier, effective, and economical in the long run.

By following these calculations the pool owner achieves and maintains crystal clear water without reliance on the often unproductive advice and unneeded trips to the pool store.

Pool Math's great features include:
• Calculators for pH, Free Chlorine, Calcium Hardness, Salt, Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, Borates, CSI
• Track Maintenance: Backwashing, Vacuuming, Filter Cleaning, Filter Pressure, SWG Cell %, Flow Rate
• Track Chemical Additions
• Bleach Price Calculator - Find the best deals on bleach easily
• Summary page with test and chemical log insights and totals
• Data backup / Export

Ratings and reviews

OMG. I don't get people who say this is difficult to use. It takes maybe 10 minutes to figure out. I did end up buying the membership because... duh... this took effort to make and I want to support it. But, it always gives me the right levels of chemicals to keep my water super clear (provided I and others don't do something stupid). And, when I do have issues, the forums at Trouble Free Pool are so prompt in offering answers. I've never had a combination of services that works better.

Unless you pay a subscription, you can only keep a log of ONE day. Attempting to log tests or chemicals after that one day gives you the prompt "You must subscribe" and that is kind of garbage for a person who is just trying to maintain a single pool. I only downloaded this because TroubleFreePool is a useful website, but this is lackluster.

The information provided is useful, but testing and recording tests is very difficult and confusing. The app allows you to set levels of chlorine you wish. Then when you test, it tells you you're out of range even if you're in the range you set. And that's if you figure out how to record the test results properly. No instructions at all about actually imputing data. Don't waste your time this app is too frustrating. 2 stars because it's free.
