About this app

This is a ScreenSaver / DayDream for Android. It is optimized for E-Ink / E-Paper Displays. The screensaver also looks great on other displays.

It shows the time and date and the battery percentage. The display is only refreshed every 5 Minutes (adjustable) to save power.

You can select your own image or icon to be shown. Or you can even show a random image from the internet, changing every day!

Unread notifications can also be shown on the screensaver, if enabled.

To get to the settings page launch the app "E-Ink ScreenSaver".

make sure the screensaver is enabled in the phone settings.

Perfect for the MinimalPhone and the Mudita Kompakt!

Customizable:
- Select your own update interval
- Select your own date and time format
- Select your own font
- Select your own image or icon
- Choose between different refresh modes
- Choose between dark or bright mode

Instructions:
- Grant all permissions for the app.
- Enable the screensaver in Settings > Display > Screensaver
- Change your settings by launching the "E-Ink ScreenSaver" App

Now the screensaver will start after the screen timeout, or when the power button is pressed.

The AccessibilityService API is being used to control the screen, allowing the very efficient "Battery Saver" mode. More information about the necessary permissions is displayed in the app. No user data is collected! All permissions are only used for the functionality of the app.

Detailed Instructions:
- Make sure the screensaver is set to start "when docked AND charging" in the Android screen saver settings. Otherwise it will not work.
- If you don't want a short flash of the screen light on refreshs, set your screen light to cold/blue. Due to phone limitations the screensaver can not control the warm/yellow screen light as good as the blue one.
- Use "Battery Saver" mode in the screensaver settings, then the screensaver is extremely efficient and adds no measurable battery consumption to the phone.
- There are many settings to customize it in the way you like and create the functionality you want.
- Long-Pressing on any setting in the settings menu gives an explanation of what it does.

works perfect! instead of making the UI sections buttons, I think they could just be text or headers. It really depends on what your setup is.

Using on the Minimal Phone. Works well. Interface could be a little more fleshed out. Would really like: 1) to be able to remove the battery text. 2) to automatically randomize pictures each time the phone is locked.
