Turn your Android phone into a convenient remote for compatible Insignia TVs. Control supported Insignia Roku TV and Fire TV models over Wi-Fi, or use infrared with supported traditional TVs when your phone has a built-in IR blaster.
SMART REMOTE FEATURES
- Find compatible TVs on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Navigate with D-pad and touch controls.
- Use power, volume, mute, channels, input and playback when supported.
- Enter text with your phone keyboard.
- Save multiple TVs and reconnect quickly.
- Connect manually by IP address when automatic discovery is unavailable.
- Turn haptic feedback on or off in Settings.
ROKU TV
Connect your phone and compatible Insignia Roku TV to the same Wi-Fi network to navigate, control playback, enter text and open available TV apps.
FIRE TV
Connect your phone and compatible Insignia Fire TV to the same Wi-Fi network. Some models require ADB debugging or Developer Options and approval of the authorization message shown on the TV.
IR REMOTE
IR control requires an Android phone with a built-in IR blaster and a matching remote profile. Available buttons depend on the selected profile. If a profile provides only Power, use the Wi-Fi remote for navigation when supported.
COMPATIBILITY
Features depend on the TV model, operating system, phone hardware and connection method. Power-on, wake and input are not available with every TV. The phone and TV must already be on the same local network for Wi-Fi control.
