What you can do

Search more than 200,000 Japanese dictionary entries with readings, localized meanings, audio, example sentences, related words, and conjugation tables. Meaning search lets you describe the word you are looking for in your own words, even if you do not know its spelling.
Camera lookup
Scan Japanese with your camera or a photo. Recognition happens on your device, so the image never leaves your phone. Tap recognized words to open them in the dictionary.
Reviews, kana, and kanji
Remember vocabulary with swipeable spaced-repetition flashcards, personalized scheduling, streaks, and progress tracking. Learn hiragana, katakana, and kanji with audio, quizzes, mastery tracking, animated stroke order, guided tracing, and memory drawing.
JLPT grammar and reading
