As others have mentioned, it's a good app with a poor subscription model. I used it when I first started flying drones a few years ago. Haven't flown in a while and when I came back, I noticed the sub model. I wasn't able to figure out any free features. Uninstalled the app as I don't fly enough to warrant paying anything for the few features I used.

Sadly, this USED TO be a great app, and they allowed you a decent amount of functionality in the basic (free) version, as does every other app. Now they've taken that all away, so for "free" all you get is a so-so GPS map on one of six tabs plus five tabs that are literally nothing more than ads for the "subscriber" version. Or you can pay double or triple what other apps charge to become a "subscriber." Why would I give up valuable storage space for ads? I should charge THEM! Uninstalled.

Good To Forecast

We understand your frustration with recent changes. Our goal is to provide high-quality, drone-specific forecasts not offered by regular weather apps. We've adjusted our model to improve services, while still offering the no-fly zone map for free. We believe our prices are competitive for our unique features. Thank you for your feedback.

I have enough paid subscriptions. The info they're charging for is readily avail online and probably where they're getting it from anyway. They don't have a monopoly on any of this data. I do appreciate no warning, a quick glance in full sun in the field means I was referencing a "preview" screen w/ incorrect data without realizing it. Won't be an issue in the future, already uninstalled. Everyone else gets $ through ads. This is a cheap $ grab. Enjoy ALLLLL your new customer.

Good To Forecast

We understand your frustration, Darren. Our forecasts are developed in-house and not readily available elsewhere. We chose subscriptions over ads for a better experience. We apologize for any confusion with the preview screen. We appreciate your feedback and will consider ways to improve our communication about changes.
