▶ Meaning: Phrases are easier to remember, because they have meaning, they paint a picture, they tell a story.
▶ Speed: When you learn phrases instead of a word, you're learning how to use that word correctly, and it’s much faster. When we're children, we learn with phrases, groups of words, not just one word by one word by one word. Word by word is slow.
▶ Pronunciation: In real life some groups of words are said as though it were a single word, in one breath-group, without pausing. If you stop to take a breath in the middle of the phrase, you are not saying it correctly, and you risk being misunderstood.

I've used the app very little, of course the first thing I explored was the words I thought I already knew. My knowledge of the pronunciation was spot on with the app and the app has the added bonus of teaching me to read Chinese also. I am very happy with the app so far. The only thing I wish is that the written english version of the Chinese pronunciation matched the sound of the pronunciation.

It's a very nice app to learn Chinese language.

The app is helping with the various new words that I can use but I would also love it if it helped me to know how sentences are constructed in Chinese so as to enable me to construct sentences on my own when l am not using the app. The new words are excellent but I really want to develop my chinese in all directions like speaking, reading, writing among others.
