Today after pregenerating the ticket I switched to other apps. When the conductor came by I switched back to ventra and clicked on the active ticket. The ticket never displayed and only said generating ticket. I had to force close the the app to get it to work again. I really like the other person idea of some kind of widget to keep the ticket created and almost instant to get to. You tell people to activate the ticket immediately but since it has to generate it everytime then why bother? It's not like I can quick switch back to the app and have it ready to go. This is a feature that really needs to be looked into.
This poorly written app should not be made public yet. Many times it has just randomly logged me out and then not accepted my username and password. I am able to go the website and log in just fine but the stupid app will not. Clearing the app data, reinstalling, using a different device make no difference. Back to buying tickets at the stations again
Overall this app is pretty good. My biggest complaint however, is that while I have Metra tickets for multiple lines, that is not reflected in the metra ticket screen. There are two groupings, but it doesn't say which line each is for, so I have to play a guessing game when choosing my ticket. Please fix!
Desperately needs a widget! Super handy and convenient to purchase and manage tickets. I use it for metra monthly tickets. Haven't transferred tickets but the call center easily transferred tickets for me when I had to replace my cell twice now. More stars when it gets a widget! Metra conductors are snippy about having tickets available right then and there and a widget would help.
I recently lost my u-pass and reported it. I got a new card with the same serial number then I tried to register it to my account again and it says its already registered. I tried to sync it to my account and it would have a small window saying "syncing..." and just goes back to the original page that says "register or purchase". I don't know what happened. It worked perfectly fine until I got this new one.
While the app is helpful, it doesn't have online block option in case of loss of Ventra card unless I call and report to customer service. I also could't add trasit value to my friend's ventra account from my credit card, nor I couldn't transfer the money from my ventra account to top up my friend's ventra account. I hope to see these included in the next ventra update.
