Got into a car accident recently (I got hit) and tried to use the emergency button to call for help. The rep was a little testy with while I'm trying to give directions to where I was (shouldn't they have already known via GPS?). I had to hang up and rely on a passerby to call for help. If I wasn't stuck in a 2-year contract, I would've handed them the equipment the next day. I don't even bother using it anymore. Uninstalled.
New app crashes constantly. Have two vehicles with hum and can only access 1 ever. Says my 01 dodge ram 1500 gets 44 mpg. Very poor app. Needs a ton of work. Update 9/7/17: App will no longer even open on my Galaxy Note 8 or a Galaxy S7 Edge. Horrible app. Customer service offers no fix. How am I supposed to justify spending $10 a month for this poor of a product? Update 11/7/17: Got a reply they are working on a fix.... That was 2 months ago. Installed to try and use it again, STILL won't even open. Unbelievable. Well that's not true, this is what I expect now. $10 a month for nothing. I have never seen a company that lets their service go this long with an app that does not work. Absolutely horrible.
This service has come a long way! Really saved me out on the road a few months back! I really hope they make the app compatible with tablets.... Some people only have flip phones and use a tablet for everything else ....those people are also usually elderly and would be great candidates for this if they had a way to use the app on their tablets. (My relative is one of them)
Love this App!! I have had the Hum in my vehicle for a few months now and it's definetly my safety net. I know that no matter where I am or what time it is, I always have somebody watching my back. I work for Russell Cellular, Verizon Authorized Retailer, and we sell a ton of them!!!
This app is a lifesaver! I also had AAA and 48 hours prior to Hurricane Irma I got a flat tire on I4. I called AAA first since I used Hum a few months back. Immediately AAA said they couldn't send anyone out until after the Hurricane and basically o would have to leave it there. (There was no curfew in place.) I panicked and called Hum and the rep was super friendly and said she would get someone out asap. I was able to get my car safely into my garage. My dad cancelled the AAA and is now getting the Hum.
Best way to keep your car in top health. If you have multiple drivers you can know what/where your car is at all times. With Bluetooth technology you have hands free calling and road side help in seconds.
