The app does what it's supposed to. I am able to connect to my A229 pro without issue. I just have to turn off Bluetooth to disable Android Auto to ensure that I'm not connecting to my car before connecting to the dashcam. Files download reasonably fast to my phone and the quality of video is great too. The only thing I would like is the ability to watch the videos in landscape mode instead of portrait. All in all, a much better experience than I expected given all the negative reviews.

setup requires reading the manual, the quick setup doesn't cover the wifi connection clearly. hold the wifi button on the unit, until you see a big wifi symbol. the password to connect will be on the units screen 1-8... one you do that swap camera views to set your camera facings. other than that it works like a charm. one thing to not. if you hook to a computer USB, the device we look like it is resetting over and over... it is, connect it to a non data USB port(charger).

Connecting, changing camera settings, live view all work well enough for me. Downloading the videos is pretty fast (on 5GHz with my wireless Android Auto dongle unplugged from the car to stop it from taking over my phone's WiFi connection), and playback is smooth. Love the GPS sync feature with the video playback. However, there is no "share" option for the downloaded videos. I'd love to be able to stitch together a few one-minute videos and export them to literally anything at all.
