About this app

Voicemeter is an Android app for reading supported Bluetooth multimeter measurements on your phone and speaking held values aloud.
The app connects to a Bluetooth Low Energy multimeter, shows the live measurement on a large multimeter-style display, detects stable held values in the app, speaks the captured value using Android text-to-speech, and keeps a recent measurement list with timestamps.
Main features:
Bluetooth Low Energy connection to supported multimeters
Large multimeter-style live display
Spoken held measurement values
App-side stable value detection
Beep and voice announcement when a value is captured
Recent measurement list with timestamps
Saved meter connection and automatic reconnect
Configurable spoken resolution: 0, 1, 2, or 3 digits after the decimal point
Help and About screens
Voicemeter is useful when your hands or eyes are busy with probes, components, circuits, or equipment. It can help with electronics troubleshooting, lab work, battery checks, circuit measurements, and other hands-free measurement tasks.
The current version focuses on the Brymen BM788BT Bluetooth multimeter. Support for additional Bluetooth multimeters may be added later.
For best results, use the multimeter with its own Auto-HOLD function disabled. Voicemeter performs local stable-value detection in the app. When a value becomes stable, the app freezes the displayed value, beeps, speaks the measurement, adds it to the Recent list, and then returns to live reading.
Voicemeter does not require an internet connection for normal measurement use. Bluetooth permission is required to find and connect to supported meters.
