About this app

Filters, cleaning dates, manuals, warranty details and receipts are easy to lose track of until an appliance needs attention. Runbook gives the appliances and devices around your home one practical maintenance record.

SEE WHAT NEEDS ATTENTION

A simple dashboard shows maintenance due soon. Track scheduled and as-needed tasks, then mark work complete to build a clear, dated history.

KEEP IMPORTANT DETAILS TOGETHER

Add brand, model, serial number, purchase date and warranty expiry. Keep an optional receipt image with the appliance record, and open an available product manual from its saved link.

FIND GUIDANCE WHEN AVAILABLE

View maintenance instructions and required parts when they are available. If Runbook does not already have a manual or schedule, it can search online for assistance. Manual coverage varies, and some fallback schedules are AI-generated estimates. These are labelled in the app and should always be checked against the official manual and manufacturer safety instructions.

OPTIONAL REMINDERS

When notifications are allowed, optional reminders can be scheduled as a task is first added. Reminder timing is not a substitute for checking the app, the appliance or its official manual.

EXPORT AND BACK UP YOUR RECORDS

Export a device's maintenance history as CSV. Create or import a JSON backup of Runbook record data and appearance settings. Receipt image files are stored separately on the device and are not included in the JSON backup.

LOCAL-FIRST PERSONAL RECORDS

Appliance records, maintenance history, warranty details and receipt images stay on your device. Brand and model lookup, manual searches, issue reports and fallback schedule assistance may use online services and the information described in Runbook's privacy policy.

Runbook is free, with no in-app purchases and no advertising SDK. Some required-part searches use regional Amazon affiliate links. Runbook may earn a commission from qualifying purchases.
