Waze is a great system and is kept up to date with even the most recent road changes. Users can post map announcements for others such as road work and hazards on their drive. More advanced users can help update the map itself through the online map editor. The entire app is a bit gamified with scoring systems and unlocks, which make longer trips fun.
Not sure what happend recently but taking strange routes that normally wouldn't take. I drive for uber and have used waze for the last year and loved it up until recently. Example it was trying to take me a 31 minute route where it was 19mins on Google maps. Also I like the back roads that it takes but at night it's not needed but still tries to take back roads and takes longer
Great app for finding how to get to some where. Have not used it in big towns yet but would think it would work well. Will let you know were speed cameras are, you can report them yourself also shows your speed. Would recommend. Up date. Have used it in Birmingham and works fine. Just come back from a short brake in Edinburgh. Fly up there and with a hire car then drove around Edinburgh and it worked great also in town also from Midlands to Bristol airport. Great satnav. I had a Tom Tom sat nave & have put it in the bin now as this app works great would recommend it.
I've deleted google maps ever since I found out about this app. Real time updates as well being able to alert of road users if an traffic accident has happened or traffic block etc so that they can be given a faster route to their destination. Its extremely user friendly and adaptable to your needs. I can't rate this app enough.
So far so good. I like the fun element of picking up bonus points along the way. My only criticism is that I still have no points and still a baby wazer although I do clock up some miles. Looking on the FAQs sheet it does say there can be a delay. Other than that a fairly simple app to use. Update 15/2/17; tried a couple of other apps as I now have an incar screen but have come back to waze. Still easy to use, reliable and great interaction have upto the minute info. No longer a baby wazer now whoop. Would like to see my map themes, but still had a 5 star rating.
Most reliable GPS app by far and beats Google maps hands down. I like that it tells me where the busy roads are so I can avoid it. I can pick my routes, know where the speed cameras are, and the voice guide is reliable. I sometimes commute via Uber and recommend my drivers to use this app over Google maps and they have converted to using Waze too. Great app even in new places I've never driven around in.
