Great app. Best gps app by far. Better than google maps, more accurate, and updated way faster than google maps too. But unfortunately there is currently no support for android Auto. In this day and age where handling your cell phone while driving can end in disastrous consequences due to distracted driving and distracted driving laws, I am still surprised that Waze is not on Android Auto yet. I would like to suggest though... Like Google maps, have the lane indicators for highway driving.
Excellent! Only one thing would make it better.. Larger buttons! I use a larger phone (galaxy S7 Edge) with great eyesight and I feel like the buttons in the app are a bit too small to use easily on the road. I can't imagine what smaller phone users must think! Other than that, I freaking love this app. I hope it grows and overtakes that damn Google maps...
Gets you there This works very well. I wasn't sure about the whole "social networking" thing, but it's there if you want to use it, but it's not intrusive. I do wonder why the devs don't have road/bridge construction as an option for a hazard. Update- I've found that it frequently takes you "around your elbow to get to your thumb". I've tried different settings but still the same results. Didn't realize this until I had it running when I was on my way home one day.
Great app, especially for commuting! The best app for dealing with traffic on roads you are familiar with. Fairly aggressive rerouting for traffic but 97 times of 100 it's the fastest. Use free Google or HERE maps or premium navigation apps like Sygic/TomTom for trips to unfamiliar destinations. PS- can't wait til you get to android auto!
Still needs improvement Update: speed limit reporting doesn't work! Been a Wazer for 4 yrs now. Tagging police alone is worth using! Using Waze and my radar detector, I haven't gotten a speeding ticket in 8 yrs. Just needs a '1-button' Police tag on the main screen instead of going thru 4 taps to report. Add this feature = 5 stars!
Better than Google Maps Parking lots and private drives are all accurately mapped, such as parks, universities, shopping centers, etc. which is infinitely useful when you're out of town. If you're an Uber driver Waze is the better choice by far. User alerts for obstacles and traffic are great! Seems to use less data than Google but can't confirm. There are periodically advertisements but that's how you keep a great app free! 100% recommend.
